To play in regular monthly society events there is a small annual affiliation fee. This is payable when you play your first event of the season, which consists of 16-18 events and runs from September - August.
The affiliation fee qualifies you for the annual RGS Championships (Overall Champion, Category A, B and C Champions) determined by the average stableford points score for each players best 5 scores from the monthly championship events.
There is also a small entry fee to compete in the society Singles, Pairs & Mixed Pairs Matchplay Championships which are open to affiliated members only. Entry to these competitions is optional.
Open championships
Redbrook Golf Society also holds three Open events each year.
THE BELL OPEN (sponsored by The Bell Inn, Redbrook) has been held every summer since 2008 and takes place at Royal Forest of Dean (Bells) Golf Club, Coleford with a players & guests dinner and presentation at Bells Hotel & Country Club after the event. The Bell Open is the annual RGS finale and is followed by the annual RGS Presentation Night.
THE RGS WINTER CUP takes place every December at Newent and is followed by the annual RGS Xmas dinner at The Bell Inn, Redbrook.
THE BOAT OPEN (sponsored by The Boat Inn, Penallt) dates back to 2000 and takes place in April each year. The Boat Open is followed by a players & guests supper at The Boat Inn, Penallt.
